Do you sell seasoned logs?

Yes our firewood is seasoned for two years.

What are seasoned logs?

Seasoned Firewood is the timber from felled trees where the sap and the water moisture from the wood have evaporated.

Do you sell Kiln dried firewood logs?

Yes we sell Kiln dried firewood logs.

What is Kiln dried firewood?

Kiln dried firewood logs are dried out in a large kiln to an average moisture content of 15%

What length are your logs?

The standard length of our firewood logs is 10” (250mm)

Do you deliver?

We deliver firewood logs either loose, dumpy bags or in a crate.

Can we collect the firewood?

Yes you can collect Firewood

Are you open Saturdays?

Yes we are open Saturday.

Do you deliver on Saturday?

Yes we deliver firewood logs on Saturdays - it's our busiest day!

Railway Sleepers

What is a reclaimed railway sleeper?

A reclaimed railway sleeper is a length of wood usually pine around 8`- 6” long that has supported the railway tracks on a railway line.

Do you sell new sleepers?

Yes we have an extensive range of new sleepers, machined or smooth and rustic sleepers.

Do you deliver the sleepers?

Yes we deliver sleepers to all areas of Yorkshire, Humberside, and the North.

Where are you based?

We are based just north of York, where you can view a wide range of new sleepers and reclaimed railway sleepers.

What weight is a reclaimed railway sleeper?

Reclaimed railway sleepers weigh approx. 60Kg

What weight is a new pine sleeper?

New pine sleepers weigh approx. 35Kg (depending on moisture)

What weight is a new hardwood sleeper?

New hardwood sleepers weigh approx 55Kg (depending on moisture)

What weight is a new oak sleeper?

New oak sleepers weigh approx 60Kg (depending on moisture)

What is Tanalith Wood Preserver?

Tanalith is eco-friendly water based wood preservative. Tanalith pressure treated timber has long term protection against fungal and insect attack including termites for both in and out of ground contact. Tanalith treated timber has an initial green colouration on external exposure the green colour slowly weathers to a warm honey brown, in longer term becomes a natural silver grey.

What is Tanatone wood preserver?

Tanatone has the same ecofriendly preservation properties as Tanalith, but is brown in colour.
