Grade 1 Used Railway Sleepers

A Grade 1 railway sleeper is a reclaimed, used railway sleeper in very good condition. It will have bolt holes where the tracks were attached to it and a small amount of damage to one edge. It is very sound, has minimal defects and splitting, consistent quality, size and shape and will be creosote treated.

Size: 2600mm x 250mm x 150mm

Uses: Reclaimed railway sleepers are very popular for landscaping uses, such as decorative features, retaining walls, steps, raised beds, terraces and edging. Also popular with golf courses for bunkers and raised tees.

Using creosote-treated railway sleepers

Reclaimed creosote-treated railway sleepers should no longer be used in high use areas, children’s play areas or any area where frequent skin contact will occur. Protective gloves should always be worn when handling creosote treated railway sleepers. They should be utilised in accordance with EU creosote legislation 2001/90/EC

We offer a comprehensive delivery service throughout Yorkshire and the North East.

We will deliver your sleepers within seven days (usually sooner). We will contact you the day before by phone or text with a delivery time.

All deliveries are made by our own drivers using a transit flatbed dropside van, which has a small crane mounted on the rear of the vehicle. For larger orders a trailer is towed behind the transit van.

Delivery is charged at £1.80 per mile from our depot.

Minimum delivery order of six sleepers, you can collect any number from our yard.
